One of the founding members of Entrepia Ventures, Max Koga, will serve as a Principal based out of the Santa Clara office.
Mr. Koga has broad expertise in advanced technologies and in the marketing of semi-conductor and communications businesses and has utilized his extensive contacts to provide technical assistance and marketing support for U.S. manufacturers entering Asian markets. He worked on several venture capital investments, including Sonus Network Inc., which successfully went public in 2000. In 2001, he founded NextGen, Inc., a network engineering company aimed at the creation of a Next Generation Network (NGN) in Japan together with his colleague from NTT Comware. NextGen was also a distributor and system integrator for several Entrepia Fund I portfolio companies. Mr. Koga served as the Chief Operating Officer and led NextGen to a successful IPO in Japan. Prior to joining Entrepia Ventures in 1999, Mr. Koga served as general manager of Nissho Iwai’s Silicon Valley office and was involved in marketing and sales activities for various US technology companies seeking to enter into the Japanese market.
Mr. Koga earned a law degree from Tokyo University.
